Centre for Neuro Skills Expands to Plano, Addressing Growing Need for Brain Injury Rehabilitation in Texas

The Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) is expanding its footprint in Texas with a new 20,000-square-foot clinic in Plano, scheduled to open in winter 2025-2026. This development comes as a response to the increasing need for specialized brain injury rehabilitation services in the region. With traumatic brain injuries affecting 144,000 Texans annually and over 381,000 living with disabilities from such injuries, the new facility is poised to make a significant impact on healthcare in North Texas and beyond.

Located in one of North Texas's fastest-growing areas, the Plano clinic will offer a range of advanced rehabilitation services. These include programs in vision, neurobehavior, cognitive retraining, speech, physical, and occupational therapy, supported by specialized technologies like the ZeroG® Gait and Balance System and the Bioness Integrated Therapy System. Such innovations are critical for patient recovery, offering hope and improved quality of life for many.

The clinic's strategic location near the Dallas North Tollway ensures easy access for patients and their families, further emphasizing CNS's commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care. Additionally, the facility will continue CNS's tradition of excellence, with three of its existing clinics already accredited by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence. This new location will also offer individualized and family counseling, highlighting a holistic approach to treatment.

Beyond immediate patient care, the Plano clinic will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research in brain injury and stroke recovery. This dual focus on treatment and research underscores the broader implications of CNS's expansion, not just for Texas but for the medical community's understanding of neurological rehabilitation. As brain injuries remain a pressing healthcare challenge, CNS's growth represents a vital step forward in addressing the needs of affected individuals and advancing the field of neurorehabilitation.
