DFW Car & Toy Museum Enhances Collection with Restored 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I Roadster

The DFW Car & Toy Museum has recently added a remarkable piece to its extensive collection, a fully restored 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I Roadster, now proudly part of the Ron Sturgeon Collection. This iconic British sports car, which was acquired in 2023 as a disassembled project, has undergone a meticulous restoration process to return it to its original splendor. The Jaguar XKE is celebrated for its elegance and performance, qualities that have cemented its status as a legend in the automotive world.

Brian Sturgeon, Director of the DFW Car & Toy Museum, emphasized the importance of this addition, noting the Jaguar XKE's unparalleled representation of automotive design and engineering excellence. The restoration has meticulously revived every aspect of the car, from its vibrant blue convertible top to its powerful 4.2-liter inline-six engine, capable of delivering 265 horsepower as originally rated by the factory. The interior, adorned with a classic wood-rimmed steering wheel and Smiths instrumentation, perfectly matches the car's sophisticated exterior, showcasing a masterpiece of automotive history.

This exquisite Jaguar XKE is now on display at the museum, located at 2550 McMillan Parkway, Fort Worth, TX, where it joins over 200 vehicles and thousands of collectible toys. The museum offers free admission and parking, making it an accessible destination for car enthusiasts and families.
