DFW Car & Toy Museum Adds Historic 2011 Honda Dallara IR-05 IndyCar to Its Collection

The DFW Car & Toy Museum has recently enriched its collection with a significant piece of motorsport history, the 2011 Honda Dallara IR-05 IndyCar. This vehicle is notable for its connection to the final season of the esteemed Newman/Haas Racing team, a name synonymous with competitive excellence in IndyCar racing. The car, adorned in a distinctive blue and silver livery, is thought to have participated in the Indy Japan 300 at Twin Ring Motegi, representing a pivotal moment in racing history.

Brian Sturgeon, Director of the DFW Car & Toy Museum, highlighted the car's importance, stating, 'This Honda Dallara IR-05 tells a story of speed, innovation, and the bittersweet end of a racing era. Currently displayed as a high-performance sculpture, devoid of its engine or running gear, the car exemplifies the aerodynamic advancements of its time.
