LIMS Launches Second Cohort of Military Spouse Leadership Development Program to Empower Community Leaders

The Leadership Institute for Military Spouses (LIMS) has announced the launch of its second 2025 cohort for the Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP), a pioneering initiative designed to empower military spouses with the skills necessary for leadership and community service. This program stands as a testament to the recognition of military spouses as pivotal figures capable of driving positive change within their communities and beyond.

Targeting spouses of currently serving United States military members across all branches, including Reserves, Guard, post-9/11 Gold Star Spouses, Surviving Spouses, Caregivers, and Spouses of Veterans or Retirees, the MSLDP offers an intermediate-level curriculum. Participants will engage in comprehensive training covering meta-leadership, crisis management, conflict resolution, communication, and mental health. The program's global and virtual format ensures accessibility to 50 selected participants, free of charge.

Upon successful completion, graduates will not only receive a leadership certificate from Harvard University's National Preparedness Leadership Initiative and a Mental Health Ally certificate from Psych Hub but also gain entry into the Military Spouse Alumni Network. This network provides a platform for continued learning and networking, further enhancing their leadership journey.

The significance of this program lies in its potential to transform military spouses into influential leaders and change-makers. Verenice Castillo, MSAN Founder and CEO, highlights the critical role military spouses play as catalysts for community transformation. Supported by the Car Donation Foundation's Vehicles for Veterans, the MSLDP embodies a collaborative effort to unlock and nurture the leadership potential within military spouse communities, promising a ripple effect of positive impact across industries and societies.
